Physiology Modules
In the course of the RATstreamTM project TSE will develop two cage systems, specially designed for the phenotyping of rat models with neurodegenerative disorders such as HD, PD and SCA17. The over-all cage designs are characterized by their modular construction and flexible extendibility.

The Physiological Cage System is being developed in order to record the fundamental physiological parameters of the rat models and to provide appropriate analytical tools. The Behavioral Cage System will be used for the typical beha-
vioral phenotyping of rat models using various test methods. To use the modules of both cage systems a single software package will be developed.
